Here's how it works...
1Q9A is made up of over 90 different professional categories, each hosted by a panel of 9 experts.
As a visitor to 1Q9A, you are invited to submit your questions to any of these expert groups. Once a week, our editors select just one question per category that we think will produce some really varied and interesting responses.
This question is then answered by all panel experts by video, so one question gets 9 very individual answers. Hence 1Q9A.
The 1Q9A story
1Q9A started out as a small e-book project in mid 2010. After reading how marketeers had generated publicity by asking experts a question and compiling their answers in a book, I wanted to do something similar.
My project was a fitness equipment review site needing some visitors. After coming up with a good question and the details of a few industry experts, I began to think if there was a way to bring the idea more up to date.
I decided video would be a good option. Not only would people like to see these well known experts talking, but the format of several opinions by video would be pretty unique.
After thinking about the idea further, I wondered "why stop there? Could there be a new question and answers every week? Could there be a question for every professional field rather than just the one industry?"
The result of this idea is 1Q9A.
